Guy Kennels

The name "Guy Kennels" is a misnomer. We are not a kennel at all. We are a family that lives in the country and loves Bullmastiffs. Since 1984, when Guy purchased his first Bullmastiff puppy, he, his wife Bonnie and their son Tony, have loved, showed and raised this magnificent breed. Through occasional breeding of quality Bullmastiffs, Guy Kennels has produced puppies with good temperament and type. Our dogs are loving, gentle and great with children. Instinctively, they are protective but not aggressive. We breed for type with the expectation that puppies will meet the "breed standard". We like Bullmastiffs that have size, are structurally sound, move well, and have good heads.
We cater to a clientele that typically includes suburban families. Bullmastiffs are big dogs that should be placed with families that have a large enclosed backyard. Typically, most prospective buyers just want a pet. Not that all of our dogs are pets and are a vital part of our family. They are shown at AKC events in an effort to ensure that they meet the "breed standard". Breeding is serious business and should be done with the purpose of "improving the breed". Otherwise, pets should be spayed and neutered. Purchasing a puppy of any breed is an important decision. Though you may not plan to show your puppy, everyone wants a healthy and good looking dog.
